Who Makes SodaPeak? Vitalifes, a Missing Address and Other Names

The label names one company and stops. Searches name several others. Here is what each name has behind it, using only what is printed or published.

Quick answer

The SodaPeak label prints “Distributed by: Vitalifes” with no city, state or ZIP, and Vitalifes is also the brand mark. The seller is Sodapeakwellness, a U.S. authorized merchant in New York. Nothing published here ties SodaPeak to Meridian Labs, AWX, PAG American or Kevin Costner.

The short answer

What does the label say about the maker?

On the maker, the label stays quiet. It names a distributor only. The side panel prints “Distributed by: Vitalifes”. The brand mark on the bottle is Vitalifes too. A distributor and a maker can be the same company or different ones, and the label does not say.

Then there is the seller. Sodapeakwellness is the U.S. authorized SodaPeak merchant, and it publishes this site. It is a seller, not the maker. It lists an office address, a separate returns address, an order desk and a website inbox.

Key facts

  • Label: “Distributed by: Vitalifes”, and the brand mark is Vitalifes. No city, state or ZIP is printed.
  • 21 CFR 101.5 asks for the name and place of business of the distributor. Only the street address may be left off, and only if the firm is in a current directory.
  • Seller: Sodapeakwellness, U.S. authorized SodaPeak merchant. Office: 498 Seventh Avenue, Floor 19, New York, NY 10018.
  • The manufacturer is not named in the material supplied to this site.
  • Meridian Labs, AWX, PAG American, Kevin Costner: not mentioned anywhere on the label or in the seller material published here.
  • The codes SOD-26/SO-1425 (lot), SOD-1425-26-SO (CoA reference) and 07-2028 (expiry) are draft label entries, not lab results.
The gap

Why does the missing address matter?

It is a labeling point, not a safety one. U.S. rules for food labels, which include supplements, ask for the name and the place of business of the maker, packer or distributor. A firm in a current directory may leave off its street address. It may not leave off the city and state.

In practice, a bottle with no printed place of business cannot be traced from the bottle alone. If something goes wrong, you cannot look up who sent it out. That is why the seller’s own contact details matter more here than usual. They are the traceable link, and they are published.

This is one of the two labeling faults on the panel. The other is the mismatch between the double asterisk on the blend line and the single one on the footnote.

The codes

What do the lot, CoA reference and expiry establish?

The three printed references
CodeAs suppliedWhat it establishes
LotSOD-26/SO-1425A batch carries an identifier. Questions about one bottle start from it.
CoA referenceSOD-1425-26-SOSomeone numbered a certificate. It does not show one exists or what it found.
Expiry07-2028A manufacturer’s date. Not a test of the contents.

Notice the CoA reference is the lot code rearranged. That is a sensible way to file a document against a batch, but two references to one batch are still one batch. No certificate of analysis, assay, heavy-metal result or microbiology result was supplied. A reference is an index entry, not a result.

Your bottle may legitimately carry a different lot and expiry from the draft artwork. Write down what is on yours, photograph the side panel, and keep it with your order email.

Ask this

What should you ask the seller?

  1. What is the lot code on the bottle you shipped to me?
  2. Do you hold a lab certificate for that lot? May I see it?
  3. Which named laboratory signed it, and when?
  4. What did the lab test: identity, strength, metals, germs?
  5. Did it test each of the eight ingredients, or only the blend as one lump?
  6. Which company fills these capsules, and in which country?

The order desk is on +1 (302) 200-3480, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm Eastern Time. A seller who holds the documents will not mind the questions. The last one is the one this site cannot answer for you. The manufacturer is simply not named in what was supplied.

Our view

Our view

Our view: the first rule of trust is knowing who stands behind a product. Here the label gives one name, and the seller gives a phone line and two addresses. That is a start. The missing city and state, and the unnamed manufacturer, are gaps that a seller could close in a single paragraph.

We would not accept a famous name or a lab name as proof of anything unless it is on the bottle or in a document we can open. Ask for the certificate, keep your lot code and treat unverified connections as unverified.

Like every supplement it lacks FDA approval. If a medical condition or medicine is part of your life, ask your doctor before you start.
