Soda Peak Ingredients List: The Eight You Know and the Seven You Skip

Most pages show only half of the soda peak ingredients list. They name the herbs and stop. The bottle prints two lists, and the second one holds a surprise. Here is both, in the order the label prints them.

Quick answer

The soda peak ingredients list has two parts. The Supplement Facts panel names eight active ingredients in one 1,200 mg blend. The Other Ingredients line names seven more: six manufacturing helpers and a gelatin capsule. No amount is printed for any of the eight actives.

The back panel carries both lists. The second one is in small type under the first.
At a glance

Key facts

  • List one, the blend: Test Boost Proprietary Blend, 1,200 mg per serving, eight named ingredients, no individual amounts.
  • Label order: horny goat weed, tongkat ali, saw palmetto, nettle root, wild yam, sarsaparilla, orchic substance, boron amino acid chelate.
  • List two, Other Ingredients: calcium carbonate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, gelatin capsule.
  • The seller’s brief and both marketing images show six actives. The panel shows eight.
  • Two actives are animal-derived or unusual: orchic substance (bovine testicle tissue) and a boron chelate.
  • The gelatin capsule is made from collagen from cattle and swine, so the product is not vegetarian.
List one

What is on the soda peak ingredients list, in label order?

The panel gives one blend and eight names. By US label rules a blend is listed from the heaviest ingredient to the lightest. So the order itself is information, even though the weights are missing.

The eight active ingredients, as printed
PositionIngredient as printedPlain note
1Horny Goat Weed Extract (Epimedium Sagittatum) LeafHeaviest in the blend. No oral human dose could be verified.
2Tongkat Ali Powder (Eurycoma Longifolia Jack) RootHas a systematic review behind it. Printed as “Powder”, not “Extract”.
3Saw Palmetto Extract (Serenoa Repens) FruitLarge human record, mostly about urinary symptoms.
4Nettle Extract (Urtica Dioica L.) RootAlso studied for urinary symptoms. Testosterone unchanged in its trial.
5Wild Yam Extract (Dioscorea Opposita) RootNo oral human dose could be verified.
6Sarsaparilla (Smilax Glabra Roxb.) RootA cancer-centre monograph says clinical studies have not been conducted.
7Orchic SubstanceBovine testicle tissue. Not in the marketing images.
8Boron Amino Acid ChelateA raw material, not the element. No elemental figure printed.

Notice the names carry Latin binomials and plant parts. That is a good habit on a label. It lets you check you are reading about the right plant and the right part of it.

The gap

Why do ads show six ingredients but the bottle eight?

The seller’s brief and both marketing images list six hexagon callouts: horny goat weed, tongkat ali, saw palmetto, nettle, wild yam and sarsaparilla. The panel lists eight. The two missing from the ads are orchic substance and the boron chelate.

We cannot say why. What we can say is that a buyer who reads only the advert would never learn that animal tissue is in the capsule. The brief itself tells readers to confirm against the bottle, because marketplace copy and ads do not always match. That is good advice, and this site follows it.

When the brief and the bottle artwork disagree, the artwork wins. We publish the difference and do not smooth it over.

List two

What is in the second half of the soda peak ingredients list?

Under the actives sits the Other Ingredients line. It is the part readers skip. It lists what holds the capsule together and keeps the powder moving in the factory.

Other Ingredients, one by one
EntryWhat it isWhy a capsule has it
Calcium carbonateA mineral, chalkA bulking agent
Microcrystalline cellulosePurified plant fibreA common filler between the powder and the shell
Sodium starch glycolateA modified starchA disintegrant that helps the contents break up in water
Stearic acidA fatty acidA lubricant for the filling machines
Magnesium stearateThe magnesium salt of stearic acidThe other standard lubricant
Silicon dioxideFine silicaAn anti-caking agent
Gelatin capsuleThe shell, made from collagenThe shell itself. Animal-derived.

Six of these are ordinary and unremarkable. The seventh is the one to note. US rules define gelatin as a product of collagen from cattle and swine. So the shell is animal-derived. A vegetarian seal appears in the product’s marketing assets, and the shell contradicts it. So does the orchic substance in the blend.

The blanks

Which part of the soda peak ingredients list is not published?

  • The split inside the blend. Eight names share 1,200 mg and no weights are printed.
  • Standardization. No icariin percentage, no eurycomanone figure, no fatty acid content, no elemental boron figure.
  • The source of the orchic substance. Country, age of the cattle and processing are all unstated.
  • A lab certificate. A reference code exists. No certificate document was supplied.
  • A full maker address. The label prints “Distributed by: Vitalifes” with no city, state or ZIP.

What the order does give you is a ceiling. Divide 1,200 by the position number. Position four can weigh at most 300 mg. Position eight at most 150 mg. That is a limit, not an amount. Our ingredient ceilings post shows all eight.

Quick questions

Frequently asked questions

What is on the soda peak ingredients list?

Eight actives in one 1,200 mg blend: horny goat weed, tongkat ali, saw palmetto, nettle root, wild yam, sarsaparilla, orchic substance and boron amino acid chelate. Seven other ingredients follow, including the gelatin capsule.

What is orchic substance?

It is bovine testicle tissue. A consumer monograph says there is not enough reliable information to know whether it is safe. Its source and processing are not stated on the label.

Is the capsule vegetarian?

No. The Other Ingredients line declares a gelatin capsule, and gelatin is made from collagen from cattle and swine. The orchic substance is also animal tissue.

Why are only six ingredients shown in the ads?

The seller’s brief and both marketing images list six. The bottle panel lists eight. Always check the bottle.

How much of each ingredient is in a capsule?

Not published. The label gives one total, 1,200 mg per 2-capsule serving, and the printed order. The order allows only a ceiling for each ingredient.

Does the list say the product is FDA approved?

No. The label carries the FDA statement that its claims have not been evaluated. No dietary supplement is FDA approved.

Our view

Our view

Our view: an ingredients list is the most honest page a product has, and the soda peak ingredients list is half-hidden. The ads show six names. The bottle shows eight actives and seven extras. We would put the whole list in front of every buyer.

Read both lists on your own bottle, because delivered stock can differ from artwork. Start at the home page if you need the basics. If you avoid animal products, this product is not for you.

It is not FDA approved, like every supplement. Ask your doctor first if you take medicine or have a diagnosed condition.
